The Eatery first open its kitchen in 1991 and in 2019 Rebecca Matthysen took ownership of this landmark establishment.
Rebecca is known for her contradictory cheffing-style where she challenges the norm by combining fine dining and authentic wholesome country foods. Her talents have been recognised and she was the first winner of the Hermanus FynArts Chef Award.
Together with Ingrid Fourie, who is The Eatery’s renowned house chef, Rebecca passionately continues with an ethos that focusses on using locally sourced produce wherever possible.
The Eatery has a full à la carte menu and is well-known for its delicious selection of breakfast menu items that include their signature dish, Eggs Benedict.
The lunch menu includes wholesome favourites as well as daily specials.
