Awesome Charters offers boat angling trips to experienced and novice fishermen...and women in the fertile waters of Struisbaai and L'Agulhas. These waters are home to fish that include yellowtail, Cape salmon, cob, red roman, stumpnose and the biggy… tuna! Your ride is a 28ft Butt Cat with two powerful 140hp outboard motors and your skipper, Frederick Neethling, boasts over 25 years and thousands of hours of hands-on experience in navigating the Indian and the Atlantic oceans. Fishing tackle and bait are supplied by Awesome Charters, and there is a friendly deckhand on board to advise you on all the best fishing techniques needed to land the catch of your dreams. Remember, whatever you catch on your Awesome Charters fishing trip is yours to take home so all you have to do is decide if you prefer your fish pan-fried, grilled or in sushi form. As an add-on service, Awesome Charters offers sunset cruises, spearfishing trips and diving charters.

Sunset Cruises

(maximum 10 guests)

Awesome Charters takes you to one of the best spots to watch the sunset, and that is out on the ocean!

Sunset Cruise Packages

Package 1

Duration: 30 minutes
Cost: R380 per person

What to expect

This is a basic cruise in the northerly direction off the Struisbaai coastline. Marine life such as whales (within safe distance), dolphins, sharks and seals could be spotted.

Package 2

Duration: 90 minutes
Cost: R700 per person

What to Expect

This is a trip to Nowhere, where the cruise takes you to various points of interest in the bay.

Package 3

Duration: 140 minutes
Cost: R1,200 per person

What to Expect

This cruise takes you to the Agulhas banks, also known as the southernmost point in Africa, where the two oceans meet.
