Awesome Charters offers boat-angling trips to experienced and novice fisherfolk in the fertile waters of Struisbaai and L'Agulhas. These southern waters are home to yellowtail, Cape salmon, cob, red roman, stumpnose and tuna! Your ride is a 28ft Butt Cat with two powerful 140hp outboard motors, and your skipper Frederick Neethling boasts over 25 years and thousands of hours of hands-on experience in navigating the Indian and the Atlantic oceans. Offering all-inclusive packages, Awesome Charters supplies the fishing tackle and bait. There is also a friendly deckhand onboard to advise you on all the best fishing techniques to land the catch of your dreams! Remember, whatever you catch on your Awesome Charters fishing trip is yours to take home, so all you have to do is decide if you prefer your fish pan-fried, grilled or in sushi form. As an add-on service, Awesome Charters offers spearfishing trips and dive charters.

About

Awesome Charters is an established business registered with SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authority), ICASA (Independent Communications Authority) and Sea Fisheries.

The crew and skippers are qualified and competent to perform in all ocean conditions.

Skippers

Skippers hold valid SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety Authority) documentation to navigate open waters, with experience in the local coastal environment.

Boat

The boat is inspected annually by SAMSA and insurance governing bodies to ensure all standards are in place.

Electronics, navigational criteria and communications with Cape Town Radio and coastal stations are current and maintained.

While safety is a primary concern, Awesome Charters strives to make each trip a memorable one.

Although Awesome Charters supplies all the tackle and bait you will need for your fishing trip, you are welcome to bring your own.

Full Boat Charter

Cost: R15,800 (up to eight guests)

A full boat charter means you have exclusive use of the boat (other than your skipper and deckhand, who are like family anyway). This experience is the perfect opportunity to spend quality, uninterrupted time with your fishing buddies!
