Alida Coetzee took ownership of the Old Cape Last Trading Post in 2021.
Former model, Alida, swapped the runway for the kitchen when she started working in the food industry in 2000. After owning two restaurants and a takeaway shop, in Limpopo and Naboomspruit, Alida relocated to Bredasdorp in 2016.
Alida has a passion for hospitality and has created a haven for customers wanting a tranquil restaurant experience in a family-friendly environment.
When she is not creating memorable meals at Old Cape Last Trading Post, you can find Alida at festivals around South Africa. Her traditional “pap en kaiings” (mielie meal porridge and crackling) are a sought-after delicacy which she sells at Shasha’s Food Gallery, a popular food truck.
