Our 7th Annual Penguin Palooza in collaboration with CapeNature is on Saturday, 26 November at the Stony Point Nature Reserve in Betty’s Bay. Everyone is invited to join us for a public beach release at 10am followed by a family day with conservation exhibitions, educational activities, lucky draws, competitions and food on sale at On the Edge Restaurant.
The African penguin is an endangered species and the birds to be released on the morning will be seabird patients that were either rehabilitated or hand-reared at the SANCCOB Table View centre. The box-tipping of penguins is heart-warming to watch, so bring your family and friends along for a scenic drive and a fun family day.
