Agulhas Triangle Wine Festival

Meet The Winemakers!

Once a year – for one day only – the wineries from Africa’s southernmost corner around Cape Agulhas come together to deliver a feast of flavours distinctive of this extreme wine growing area. This year the festival takes place on Saturday 9 November at the Black Oystercatcher wine farm.

The wineries of the Agulhas Wine Triangle share a spirit for exploration and adventure as the pioneers of a group of exciting, new wine growing regions in South Africa which are characterized by their proximity to the coast, extreme, cooling winds and ancient soils. They are known for producing elegant, terroir driven wines, with concentrated fruit flavours, distinctive minerality and a long finish.

Formerly known as The Elim Wine Festival, this year the Agulhas Triangle Wine Festival showcases 11 of the region’s favourite wineries: The Black Oystercatcher Wines, The Giant Periwinkle, Ghost Corner, Land’s End, The Berrio and Strandveld Vineyards from the Elim wine ward, Sijnn Wines from Malgas, Lomond from Cape Agulhas, Bruce Jack Wines and Skipskop Wines from Napier and joining the festival for the first time, Olivedale Private Vineyards from Buffeljagsrivier.

Join in this rare opportunity to taste the region’s finest wines, meet the winemakers behind them and spend a relaxing day in the beautiful Agulhas countryside. The Agulhas Triangle Wine Festival is a festival for every wine lover, whether you’re a novice or a sommelier - this is an event not to be missed.
