There is something truly special about Amazing Grace B&B and the awesome hosts, Deon and Linda Kloppers, definitely have a lot to do with its growing popularity. The couple's personal touch is reflected throughout the house and they have created a truly memorable experience as well as an inviting home away from home. The B&B is spacious and cosy with magnificent views of Walker Bay which make it perfect for whale watching in season. The house is set in a lush, green garden shaded by leafy trees which often becomes a playground for the brightly coloured Sugarbirds that frequent the area. There is a choice between a spacious family unit as well as a large luxury room. Situated in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom, Amazing Grace is embraced by no less than five mountain ranges and visitors to this lovely home will find that it is the perfect home base for all the nearby activities that the area has to offer.

Deon and Linda Kloppers are a warm and friendly couple who want to share their lovely home with you. After moving to Gansbaai from Groblersdal in 2012, Linda and Deon, began their search for a place they could call their own. In 2014 they noticed the house in Vyfer Street in De Kelders and it was love at first sight. So began a journey that at first seemed to be scattered by obstacles. Buying the house wasn’t as easy as they had initially hoped it would be, and there were times when it looked as if their dream wouldn't materialise. Never giving up hope and always remaining full of faith, a modern day miracle finally happened and these two deserving people were finally blessed with the opportunity to buy Amazing Grace B&B.
There is feeling of immense gratitude for life that permeates the air when you visit the B&B and their motto of ‘paying it forward’ is evident in the added extras that guests enjoy when staying at the house.
All the beachhouse style furniture has been professionally crafted by Deon, and Linda’s Photography is proudly displayed in the rooms. The lush and leafy garden is a work in progress and a birder’s paradise. One truly has the feeling you are on an island when you stand out on the upstairs patio.
The Dolphin Unit, also called the ‘Honeymoon suite’ by Linda and Deon, is a luxurious room with a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bath, a basin and a double shower - allowing for romantic showers together. This spacious room has a private dressing room with a separate toilet. Dolphin Unit has its own private entrance and has a sea view, both from the room and the adjacent patio to which it has access.
The unit has direct access to the communal kitchen, scullery and living area and guests are welcome to use all these facilities. There is an outside braai on the upstairs patio which overlooks the lush garden and, of course, Walker Bay.
Rates: R1,350 per night for Dolphin Unit with a minimum stay of two nights.
This is a family unit and is suitable for a small family or for one couple. The unit has two entrances and is accessible from the porch as well as directly from the garage, which has an automated door. The two bedrooms share a bathroom which is only accessible from the Whale Room. The rooms are separated by a lounge area and open plan kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and kettle. There is a portable braai on the private patio which overlooks the garden and the breathtakingly beautiful Walker Bay.
Rates: R1,100 per night for the Whale and Penguin Family Unit.

If you prefer a continental breakfast, you have the choice of some bread and preserves or Linda’s famous layered fruit parfait which includes a delicious home-made muesli. Breakfasts are served with coffee, tea and fruit juice and will make for a fantastic start to any day.
