“I dream of painting and then I paint my dream” - Vincent Van Gogh

A selection of artworks encompassing the ebb and flow of growth and change over time. Annalene paints on block-mounted canvas with acrylic and textured paint as her chosen medium. This artist is in a blissful transition period and her art is continually evolving as she moves forward in life’s journey. Pieces include scenes from the beautiful Overberg region and, most recently, the unadorned female figure. A firm favourite, however, are her still life paintings, especially those of flowers, which she never tires of. Annalene captures nature's colour palette perfectly and her works find a comfortable space on the walls of local and international art lovers alike.

About

Annelene van der Colff sold her first artwork for five cents outside her parents home in the Karoo town of Nelspoort when she was only six years old. Now, years later, her artworks are sought after by art enthusiasts and collectors from around the globe. Calmness exudes from this artist and on meeting her one can immediately sense her deep creativity, which she allows to flow out onto her canvasses. Nowadays, her pricing has increased slightly from the original five cents but is still highly affordable and art lovers can expect to pay about R55 per 10cm squared, which works out to approximately R4000 for a 1m by 1m artwork. Annelene loves direct contact with her clients and you will often find her at popular festivals such as the Greyton Rose Festival and the KKNK. Keep an eye out for Annelene at the Hermanus Market next to the Village Square in the near future.
