DIY Handy Hint #05:
To fill the gaps between paving slabs, brush a dry mortar mix into the open joints. Remove any surplus material from the surface of the paving, then sprinkle the area with a very fine spray of water to consolidate the mortar.
DIY Handy Hint #06:
If the tap capstan does not want to pull off, turn the tap fully on, slide a spanner over the spindle and under the head and gently tap the spanner upwards with a hammer.
DIY Handy Hint #07:
For very accurate marking of timber, use a marking or craft knife. These not only mark but sever the fibres very slightly to enable further cutting to be very exact. The severed fibres leave a whisker-free cut edge.
