Some time ago I was very enthusiastic because I went to a park to pet lion cubs.
As a big animal lover, this was a unique experience.
They were joyful & playing.
They act like domestic cats but don’t underestimate the greater power they carry within.
And without having a clue I contributed to gain these little fellows trust.
A trust that later would be damaged by other people...
Little did I know that many petcubbing industries, use this as a marketing tool, to attract thousands of tourists and volonteers to interact with them in order to make them tame to be easily hunted as an adult, either for a trophy or for their body parts.
Mankind, ironic isn’t it?
Going to @panthera Big Cat Sanctuary in Stanford made me realize this.
It was devastating what I heard there but made it very clear how things are.
And it is heart warming how these volenteers give there souls to these majestic animals... nothing but respect for these people & big cats.
So it is a must go for an educational visit!
To read more about this topic read the book: Cuddle me, Kill me by Richard Peirce.
So looking back at these pictures made me realize how precious and worth fighting every soul is...
Hope you realize it too.
