Realising a lifelong dream of owning a speciality shop, former accountant Naideen Hickman opened Fynbos Mossel Bay in 1993. Initially a small shop selling gifts and homeware, its popularity quickly grew, prompting Naideen to open an in-house coffee shop in 1994.
Naideen's outgoing personality, attention to detail, and natural talent for cooking and baking soon transformed the shop into a beloved local meeting spot.
In 2013, Naideen opened a branch in Gansbaai, naming it Fynbos Shoppe and Coffee Shoppe.
Today, the Fynbos name is synonymous with warm, welcoming service, luxury homeware, personalised gifts, and most importantly, a kitchen known for its delicious home-cooked meals and baked goods made with love by Naideen herself.
