Business Information

“Everyone should experience the pleasure of savouring an aromatic cappuccino made with the finest coffee beans and the sensation of indulging in a glass of exquisitely chilled white wine.”

Realising a lifelong dream to own her own business, former accountant, Naideen Hickman opened Fynbos Shoppe in Mossel Bay, in 1993. At first, the shop only sold homeware and gifts but became so popular that Naideen opened an in-house coffee shop in 1994.

The concept was such a huge success that Naideen later established a sister shop, Fynbos Shoppe and Coffee Shoppe, in Gansbaai in 2013.

“We have visited this friendly, warm and quality-conscious coffee shop several times and found it the best of its kind in Gansbaai. Friendly and efficient service, friendly atmosphere and seriously good coffee.”  Jysester
“Very friendly staff! The cake was yummy and I had a really good cappuccino! A lovely sunny restaurant with interesting kitchenware for sale! Would go back!”  Michele
“What a stunning find, lots of off-street parking right next to the restaurant. Friendly service and willingness to help. My mom had the homemade pea-and-eisbein soup, and loved it! We had the tomato bredie and lamb curry with steamed fresh veggies and our plates were scraped clean. Very impressed and we will do the one and a half-hour drive again for a meal!”  Edith
“If you're looking for a simple, healthy lunch, and aren't travelling with small children, I would certainly recommend this place.”  Broes
“A real treasure of a coffee shop. The interior design is tasteful, different and with lots of beautiful artworks, flower arrangements and bric-a-brac. There is also a seating area outside on the verandah. I opted for morning coffee and it was just perfect. A friend of mine has been telling me about a Mozart cake, so I had to have that and enjoyed it very much.”  Sarah
