Gansbaai Academia's Marine Science Career Exhibition

Calling All Marine Organisations & Other Community Stakeholders!

The new subject, Marine Science encompasses the study of marine life and environments, how they are formed and evolve, and how they are affected by human activity. Topics covered in this programme include marine biology, earth science, chemistry and experimental physics, mathematics, statistics, oceanography, meteorology, botany, geology and microbiology. Gansbaai Academia is fortunate to be one of the three schools to offer Marine Sciences as an 8th subject, during the school day, for Gansbaai learners, and in the afternoon, for learners at other schools to be involved.

We at the Gansbaai Node would like to invite neighbouring schools, community members and our scientific community to be part of a 2-day programme at our beautiful school and on our diverse coastline for various activities. Learners will have an opportunity to experience different Marine careers and participate in various data collection activities. It will also be a great opportunity if we can have various Marine Organisations involved in educating our learners.

Please come and join us!
