Sun, Dec-16, 09H00 - 14H00

Finish your year well by participating in the Lomond Open Water Swim taking place on the Sunday of the long weekend in December!

Whilst you are very close to South Africa’s Great White Shark capital, you will be safe while swimming in a beautiful fresh water dam surrounded by vineyards and fynbos valleys. An absolute treat as swimming in this dam is only allowed at this event.

The Lomond Triathlon will be held the day before at the same venue, so why not make a weekend of it and come and enjoy the fun.

The Venue

Lomond is one of very few wineries with a Cape Agulhas District appellation. Located 8km from the sea as the crow flies, the 800ha farm is kept cool by the south-west and south-east winds that blow during the summer months. Its extreme southerly location, proximity to the sea and varied soils with unique terroir, contribute to some very distinctive single-vineyard wines that amply reflect their origins.

There is ample parking close to the venue and lots of food options supplied by vendors. Live music, lots of wine, beer and other refreshments will be available at the venue. Be sure to bring friends and family along to support you while doing this fun challenge.
