Business owners, Mark Collings and Shirley Collings warmly invite you to visit them at their business premises in the Gansbaai Industrial Area to discuss your designs and concepts with them.
Due to impeccable workmanship and their loyal clients who promote M+S Designs by word-of-mouth, the team has doubled its workshop space in the last three years.
Mark Collings - Owner, Workshop Manager, Woodwork Designer
Mark Collings is the ‘M’ in M+S Designs and Shirley Collings business and life-partner.
Mark loves designing and creating new concepts. He has designed and built laboratories, specialised filtration systems and sterile enclosures like the ones seen in movies where they work with dangerous bugs. The M+S Designs Studio is the concept closest to his heart and he personally manages the workshop and designs clients woodworking ideas.
Shirley Collings - Creative Artist Director, Graphic Designer, Administrator
Shirley Collings is the ‘S’ in M+S Designs and Mark Collings’ business and life-partner.
Shirley has been creating for as long as she can remember and has used her skills and life experience to become a successful entrepreneur. Having travelled and lived in many towns around the globe, she has a deep appreciation for the styles and designs of all nationalities and religions.
When she is not creating something, she is dreaming about creating something!
John Newman - Master Craftsman
John joined the team as a master craftsman in July 2020 after the close of Pieter Deon Interiors where he had worked for 12 years.
Presenting him with all the intricate elements that woodwork has to offer, he always manufactures beautiful and accurate life-long A+ quality products.
Jacques Cronje - Personal Assistant, Social Media Coordinator
Jacques joined the team as a painter in September 2020.
His artistic eye soon highlighted his talents as a creative person but, in due time, his quest for quality brought him into the office to work as Mark and Shirley’s personal assistant, general designer and social media coordinator.

It is with great sadness that M+S Designs announces the closure of its operations after five years of dedicated craftsmanship in creating unique furniture pieces. This decision has been a difficult one to make, considering the immense pride we took in our work and the strong connections we established within our community as a local business, supported by a loyal customer base.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to all those who have shown us unwavering support throughout our journey.
