Melkboom Self-Catering Villa

Melkboom is a self-catering family holiday home on the shoreline of Franskraal within 10 meters from the high water mark.

There are five bedrooms with 3 bathrooms (one en-suite) in the main house and a granny flat under the milkwood forest in the backyard. The back garden is totally covered by protected Milkwood trees (Sideroxylon inerme) which give a forest atmosphere to the outside braai area. The open plan living room leads to a huge outdoor patio with a sea view.

This living room is the meeting place of smells and sounds of sea and forest, creating a unique space of belonging and connection. The kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances.

Linen and towels are provided. A television is provided but bring own DSTV decoder or rent a DSTV package from us during your stay.

Melkboom can accommodate up to 12 friends or family members for a holiday, reunion or festival.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Bedrooms are spacious with a variety of double and twin bed formations to choose from. Linen is provided with pillows and extra blankets for chilly winter evenings. Bathrooms are either full family with bath and shower or shower or bath only. Bath towels are provided for guests. Bring your own beach towels.

Peak season and weekdays: check in after 17:00; check out 09:00
Weekends: check in on Fridays from 17:00 check out on Sundays before 16:00

Garages

Each home has garaging for safe parking of vehicles.

Laundry

Washing machines are available in Melkboom and Rots ‘n See but laundry services are available in town.

Kitchens

Kitchens are fully equipped with reliable appliances: fridge/freezer, stove, dishwasher (Rots ‘n See only), kettle, toaster, microwave, iron.

Security

The homes are provided with a monitored, armed response alarm. Please follow the instructions carefully to ensure effective use of the security system.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted indoors.

Television

A television is provided but bring own DSTV decoder or rent a DSTV package from us for the duration of your stay. Tariffs are available on request.

Use of water and electricity

Please use water and electricity sparingly. We are monitoring use and will not hesitate to ask additional payment in cases of excessive use.

Pets / Dogs

Dogs are not allowed except in Rots ‘n See and on request only and on full disclosure of type and size of dog. Owners are responsible for the behaviour of their dogs and good manners and respect for property are expected of both owners and dogs.

Damage to property

If the property is damaged due to accident, negligence or willful act of the guest or the guests’ invitees, the damages will be repaired by us at the cost of the guest.
