Hi there, I am Riaan of Riaan Jacobs Photography. My interest in Photography started 41 years ago and the last 4 years after retirement I do photography on a full-time basis.
My favourite photography subjects are Landscape, Wildlife, Nature and anything else with a story to tell. My website should provide a good general idea what I photograph
My inspiration to do photography!!! Capturing and sharing images of one of the most beautiful Countries of the world, South Africa with special focus on the area where I am staying, this is in the rural coastal town of Gansbaai, Western Cape, South Africa. Paradise for outdoor photography all year round.
Landscape photography this is one of my greatest passions. I just love being out in nature and being able to take photo's of the most amazing areas that you can find in the overberg area, but not just in the overberg area everywhere that I go I just look at my surrounding area and just look for the perfect photo. Trust me when I have a camera in my hand I just go into my own special little place and can get lost there for hours...

Seascapes well that's where I am truly a lucky man I live at the coast in one of the most amazing areas that can change on a day to day basis. The sea and the weather are consistly changing and to be able to capture the beautiful scenery that I am surrounded with then it's no wonder i'm a photographer...

The abundance of different spieces of birds in this beautiful situated area that I live in is any photographers birding paradise.
There are so many types around here like all the various types of sea birds, fynbos habitat birds and the amazing amount of birds of prey.. If you love birds and go bird watching then this is sure the area to live in... Sometimes I can spend hours just trying to capture the one image of that truly makes a bird come to life.
