A warm welcome awaits you at this friendly B&B with its relaxed, homely atmosphere. We offer cosy, comfortable rooms with sea and mountain views, including the beautiful Walker Bay with its magnificent scenery and breathtaking sunsets.

We are in walking distance of a little secluded beach called Standford's Cove, in De Kelders, which is situated approximatley 3kms from Gansbaai known as the Great White Shark captial.

View the whales and dolphins from our own balconies. Gansbaai is called The Big 2 Town namely for the Great White Shark and the Whales.

We offer 3 double rooms with stunning views of Walker Bay. All the rooms are tastefully decorated in soft colours. Beach towels can be supplied on request. All rooms are non-smoking, but smoking is allowed on balconies. We have a guest lounge with selected satellite TV channels, a fridge and microwave. The lounge has a lovely view of the bay, with Hermanus and Hangklip in the distance. Comfortable easy chairs make for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.

Boat-based whale watching and great white shark excursions can be arranged. Enjoy a walk through the Fynbos and along the rocks and cliffs of our rugged coastline. Experience a very local feel at a Pub & Grill, walking distance from the B&B.

The best B&B I've stayed in.  The room was beautifully furnished, clean.  the view from the room was amazing.  We could see and hear the whales from the balcony. Breakfast had everything and it was delicious. She absolutely made the stay more wonderful.  We will definately recommend it, and it was home away from home.

Wir sind sehr herzlich and freundlich empfangen und behandelt wurden.  Es war  wie Zuhause bei Mama zu sein.  Die Zimmer sind grosszugig und sehr sauber.  Das Fruhstuck wurde mit viel Liebe zubereitet.  Wir haben die Wale vom Bett aus springen sehen.  Wir wurden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

We stayed twice at The Bay Lodge in De Kelders.  And for a good reason!  Owner Villieria is just great.  She makes you feel at home and is really helpful in f.e.  organizing shark diving and whale wathcing (go from Gansbaai, not Kleinbaai!).  Location is really close to the shore for great walking and being close to the whales.

Zeer welwillende gastvrouw in deze B&B.  Mooie locatie, zicht op walvissen vanuit de kamer.  Goede bedden, prima ontbijt.
