Every legendary seaside village has a bustling harbour pub, and The Boathouse Pub & Restaurant is Gansbaai's!
The Boathouse opened in 2013 in a historic building that has always been a harbour pub.
In 2023, Charmaine Cooke took ownership after she relocated to Gansbaai from Fochville. She and her fiancé, Willie, had visited the area often for holidays, and when the restaurant went on the market, they decided to buy it.
Charmaine is joined in the kitchen by executive chef Joe Bussio.
