“A hidden gem for lovers of peace-and-quiet, birds, flowers, and disconnecting from the hustle and bustle (even though there is good cell reception if needed). If you are looking for a clean place with all the essentials needed in a self-catering experience, with a touch of eco-consciousness, this one is for you. Take a walk into your backyard and get further away from civilization and deeper into one of the most vibrant fynbos experiences with not a person in sight. A truly memorable experience.” James
“Stay here if you are interested in knowing more about the wonderful world of South African Fynbos!! Gerhard and his Partner have created a paradise! It is a rustic and glorious place where you can leave behind Wi-Fi and the TV and come and snuggle up next to a log fire at night. Take a hike into some of the most unspoilt fynbos nature you will be ever privileged to see!” Camilla
“The cottage is simply fitted out and comfortable. All the amenities worked well. Being able to walk on the farm and see the special fynbos was a privilege. The birding and views were excellent.” David
“What a little haven this is with nature, birds, views, wide-open spaces and plenty of silence. Vleiroos is all you need to de-stress, switch off and feel restored. If you are trying to get away from everything for a few days, this is the place to go. We will be back!” Daniela
“If you need to get away from it all we can recommend Vleiroos Cottage. Peace, quiet, beautiful surroundings and a very comfortable and cosy cottage. As we chose the coldest and stormiest weekend of the year for our visit, we were pleased with the big indoor fireplace and our host kept us well supplied with firewood that came from alien trees cleared on the property. On one of the mornings, we volunteered for a few hours and pulled out and sawed off a few alien trees ourselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.” Sanneke
