At the Shed@Galileo

Join us for live music and celebration amongst the blossoms in Elgin this October.

Last year we were so busy transforming The Shed into a venue that we never actually stopped to have a proper opening celebration! We’ve already hosted a number of wedding celebrations there and earlier this month we successfully hosted our first conference. However, we’ve decided it’s better late than never so at the end of October we would love you all to join us for a relaxed afternoon on the lawn at The Shed@Galileo to officially celebrate our new venue. We’ve booked one of our favourite reggae bands, The Rivertones, to provide some awesome live music. We will have food on sale too and you are most welcome to bring your own picnic and wine or beer. Don’t worry, we’ll provide the ice and buckets to keep your drinks cool!

The date is Saturday 28 October. This coincides with the ever popular Elgin Open Gardens, so why not make a day of it and come and see some of the area’s most spectacular gardens beforehand? October shows of our valley at its best as it comes alive with apple blossoms and spring flowers.

We are charging R150 per ticket (under 8s go free), the band will play from 12 pm – 3 pm and R5 from each ticket will go towards the Bee Effect initiative which highlights the importance of bees in our world.

The event also forms part of Elgin Valley Tourism’s Blossom Festival which runs throughout the month of October.
