EARS Donkey Sanctuary was established in 2010.
Since then, the sanctuary has grown to include donkey rescue, retirement, and the rehabilitation and medical care of the community’s horses.
EARS Charity Shop was started as an incentive to generate funds to help keep the sanctuary and its community services self-sustaining.

EARS Donkey Sanctuary strives to enrich the lives of donkeys, horses and ponies in Greyton, Genadedal, Heuwelkroon, Bosmanskloof and Voorstekraal. The sanctuary is home to an extended family of donkeys, horses, and ponies rescued from abusive situations, severe neglect or abandonment. Sanctuary tours are available by appointment and are a fun outing for the whole family.
