Volunteering isn’t just about helping others, it’s one of the most powerful ways to boost your own wellbeing, too.
EARS Donkey Sanctuary’s hospital camp, where sick and injured donkeys are treated in isolation, was destroyed during the recent Overberg storms.
We’re in the process of rebuilding but building materials are costly and any donations towards the rebuild would be gratefully received.
It’s essential, especially in the winter months, that our ill and injured donkeys remain warm and safe while being treated. Common ailments include colic or chronic joint pain due to old age or overwork.
All of our donkeys are rescued, either from abusive homes or abandonment on the streets when they’re too old to work.
Visitors are more than welcome at EARS Donkey Sanctuary.
