Via's Eatery & Roastery opened in 2008.
In 2020, Chris and Melinda Cloete took ownership.
Chris and Melinda are passionate about people and strive to provide a place where everyone can pop in and enjoy proper coffee and wholesome food in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Their off-site coffee roastery provides the coffee shop and deli with quality coffee blends.
The couple’s business ethics centre around integrity, honesty, and value for money. Their staff are all great supporters of this and go out of their way to be friendly, helpful and caring.
Front of House Manager Matthew Schafli is ready to welcome you and is the first friendly face you will see when entering Via’s. Matthew has lived in Greyton all his life and loves introducing visitors to the beauty of the village.
Via's Eatery & Roastery serves breakfast and light lunches, as well as delicious coffee and sweet treats.
Via's Eatery & Roastery stocks quality deli products and gifts.
Via’s Eatery & Roastery sources Arabica coffee from seven countries and then carefully selects the best way to roast each with flavour and taste in mind.
Roasting happens off-site, but you can buy all your favourite blends and try new ones at the eatery.
Via's Eatery & Roastery is available for private functions.

“Landscapes, specifically South African landscapes, let my mind escape to the beauty and splendour of the countryside.” Chris Cloete
Chris Cloete exhibits his work at Via’s Eatery & Roastery.
Chris has also had exhibitions at Greyton Art Gallery, Greyton Art Walk and Galeria Gaudi in Madrid (Spain).
The uniqueness of Chris’s art comes from his use of pallet knives and scrapers, which allow him to apply once-off textures that add a layer of authenticity to his works.
A unique art collection named 55+1 Shades of Grey is a direct result of Chris’s life and different layers of thought. Shades of grey and the dash of red, the +1 also highlights his belief that there is hope in life.
Tucked behind Via’s Eatery & Roastery is Via’s Stay.
Via’s Stay offers four luxury private rooms in a tranquil rose garden. Within walking distance of the main road in the village, Via’s Stay is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday.
Nearby outdoor activities include the famous weekly community market and nature-based experiences.
Via’s Stay is wheelchair accessible and accommodates eight guests with the option to add a sleeping arrangement for a child by arrangement.
