Joe's passion for music started at age 4 when given 1st 4-string nylon guitar which he taught himself to play along to the radio. At age 7-10 he sang in church and on stage with Rhodesian Evangelist (had to stand on milk crate to reach mic!) Shortly thereafter formed his 1st music group til 10 years of age. At 13 formed a band named Havoc who played at Bapsfontein Jhb and Pogos next to Boksburg Lake. The group was managed by famous boxer Harold Volbrecht! Joe also appeared on tv for the opening of E-TV and the East-rand Mall. He also recorded the odd music video featuring him playing guitar in an ice cold swimming pool!
During his army years he became leader of Potch Army Band and later was transferred to Pretoria to play sax in the Main Army Orchestra. Joe was taught by a Hungarian Sax-player. After army he relocated to Mauritius and played at La Pirogue Hotel. He later performed in a club-band named Lipstick and performed at famous Sandton clubs. There after he joined Mack the Night who recorded the "Sydney Sessions" on Radio 5 with DJ Rave Lavigne. Joe's own original recordings were broadcast on Radio 5 and East-Coast radio in late 80's. By then he had a personalised guitar built by Callaham Guitars. He worked also as a sound engineer at SABC and free lanced for the likes of PJ Powers, Brenda Fassie and other famous singers at the time. Years later moved briefly to the USA and back to Durban to form a band with Paul Darley, Shaun Potts and Bruce Boom from 4 Jacks and a Jill. Played at well known Shunters Durban, etc...

Tammy explored her musical gift when given a Casio Keyboard at age 6. She played also by ear and taught herself.
