Aura One was founded by Thomas Knowler, originally established as Aura Host in 2010.
Thomas is a seasoned webmaster and online marketing specialist who began his career in Somerset, England, where he studied graphic design and IT.
After immigrating to South Africa in 2006, Thomas joined Find It SA, a well-known business directory based in Knysna. Driven by a genuine interest in helping businesses grow their digital footprint, he played a key role in expanding the company’s reach across the Garden Route and Cape Town. During this time, he expanded services from directory listings to include website design and marketing.
Following the sale of Find It SA in 2012, Thomas relocated to Hermanus and launched Aura Host, dedicating himself to building, hosting, and promoting websites. Over the years, his work has supported clients across a wide range of industries, helping them build visibility and grow sustainably in the online space.
Today, Aura One continues to reflect Thomas’s hands-on approach, technical expertise and long-standing commitment to helping businesses succeed in the digital space.
Away from the screen, Tom values time outdoors and, with a love for hiking, takes every opportunity to enjoy the Overberg landscape he now calls home.
