Liandri Malan has been the director of Bierman Malan Optometrists in Hermanus CBD, Whale Coast Mall in Sandbaai and Gansbaai at the Great White Junction since 2019.
Liandri hails from Bloemfontein and studied optometry at UFS (University of Free State) in 2007.
On completing her studies, she expanded her horizons in the Eastern Cape and further afield internationally to Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. After practising in Cape Town’s Northern suburbs, she settled in Hermanus.
After a stint as a science teacher, she locummed for the Bierman Britz practice run by Lizette Britz and leapt at the chance to take ownership when Lizette sold the business.
Wikus Bierman founded the Bierman Group in 2001 when he opened his first practice in Kraaifontein.
The community's overwhelming support prompted Wikus to open a second branch in Vredendal. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Today, the Bierman Group boasts over 20 practices, most run by partners.
