Dal-Italia Delicatessen is the creation of Fabio Lenci, the owner behind Fabio’s Ristorante. Established in 2020 during lockdown as a small “pasta-fabbrica,” it quickly grew into an authentic Italian deli and sidewalk café.
The deli is stocked with a wide variety of Italian favourites, from pantry staples to fresh and frozen meals, with vegan and gluten-free options available.
It’s a place to discover authentic flavours, enjoy a light meal or espresso, and soak up a little taste of Italy in Hermanus.

Dal-Italia Delicatessen serves up an authentic taste of Italy on Aberdeen Street.
Stock up on Italian ingredients, local and imported deli favourites, fresh and frozen home-cooked meals, and the house speciality, pasta hand-crafted by Fabio Lenci of Fabio’s Ristorante.
The shelves and fridges are stocked with homemade pomodoro sauce, freshly baked ciabatta, rich Parmigiano, spicy chorizo, and a wide selection of pantry staples in cans, bottles, boxes, and packets. Luck could be on your side, and you might catch Fabio in action preparing tagliatelle, lasagne sheets, and Panzerotti, the house speciality. If you are feeling peckish, take a seat and enjoy a snack, light meal, espresso martini, or a cheeky limoncello at Dal-Italia Delicatessen.
Dal-Italia Delicatessen is open for lunch every day, and on Friday nights, it comes alive for dinner with a special chef’s menu and activities that include wine tasting experiences.
