Die Plaaskombuis lays nestled in the beautiful Hemel-en-Aarde Valley on the Lötter family farm named Vrede (which translated into English from Afrikaans means, Peace).
Nita and Jadri Lötter took ownership of Vrede from Jadri’s father, Bernardus, in 1978.
Nita had always dreamt of owning a farmstall and worked with her husband to realise her dream. Using an old blue classic 1963, Chevrolet Truck, Jadri would drive their harvest of vegetables to the market in Cape Town.
Today, the farm is home to Die Plaaskombuis which has become a firm favourite on the country lifestyle map.
The much-loved Chevy is still used on the farm and still puts in a full day's work, just like all the other farm vehicles do.
The Lötter Family invite you to join them for good old-fashioned hospitality in a picturesque setting.
Die Plaaskombuis is all about wholesome meals prepared with fresh locally grown and produced ingredients.
