Dr Juan RG de la Cruz was born and raised in Cape Town. After completing his medical studies in 2004, he interned at Tygerberg Hospital in 2005. In 2006 he went into service at Gordonia Hospital in Upington with a four-year internship at Lady Michaelis CHC in Plumstead, Cape Town. 

Then in 2013, Dr Juan was back in Upington at Dr Harry Surtie Hospital. In 2023 he realised his dream and opened his practice in Hermanus.

Carolyn de la Cruz - Practice Administration & Doctor’s Assistant

Carolyn is Dr Juan’s sister and it is her friendly face that welcomes you on arrival. When her brother decided to open his practice, Carolyn immediately got involved to help get the practice up and running. From the time spent hunting for the perfect practice, and decorating the interior thereof to her outstanding administration and people skills, her passion for what she does is evident.

Carolyn works closely with Evidence and she strives to empower Evidence with administrative skills.

Evidence was born in Zimbabwe and moved to South Africa in 2015 after completing school. 

After keeping busy with temp work in Hermanus, she met Carolyn and joined Dr Juan’s team. 

Aside from keeping the practice in ship-shape condition, Evidence helps welcome patients, and assists Carolyn with general administrative tasks when necessary.
