Born in Macassa in Cape Town, Alvaria moved to Hawston with her parents. Since she left school in Grade 10 she had always wanted to be her own boss and therefore worked at a market. She then started her Spaza Shop from home. This is a very successful business as it focuses on the daily needs of the community. During the day she has the morning school traffic to and from school and then inthe afternoon everyone buys food for dinner or lunch the next day.
She loves being independant and working at her own pace. She is wanting to expand her business and have a takeaway aswell.
