Hermanus Child & Family Services have three crèches that cater to the needs of over 150 children between the ages of three and six in Mount Pleasant and Hawston. Crèche care includes:

  • Provision of a daily meal
  • Supervision by qualified carers
  • Tutoring by qualified teachers

Foster Care / Alternative Placements

Foster Care / Alternative Placements

Hermanus Child & Family Services has three foster houses in the community, each with its own house mother and supporting staff. Each house accommodates six children who receive a safe and stable environment where they have a home environment and attend school.

Where absolutely necessary, children are sometimes placed in a pre-arranged and approved private home environment where they receive foster care. Wherever possible this is usually with family members.
