Every year the Wine region of Hermanus and Walker Bay celebrates our many diverse Wines, Wineries and Wine Makers by staging the annual Hermanus Wine and Food Festival. We have seen the Walker Bay region grow from just 6 producers in 1998 to over 80 producers in 2016, and still growing. We have sent wine to every continent on earth, even to Antarctica. We offer more than 1600 labels of South African wines at cellar door prices.
A true country festival, you will experience an impressive line up of wines that have garnered awards from around the globe. The Hermanus Wine and Food Festival promises to be a vino-experience where you will meet new friends, discover new wines and find that whales are not the only reason for people visiting Hermanus.

The Wine & Food Celebration features world-class vino from across South Africa. Attendees can expect a true wine & food festival with plenty of tasty treats, entertainment and the unbeatable hospitality and small town charm that sets this fest apart from the rest.
More than 50 producers will have a total of over 300 wines up for tasting at the Wine Tasting Hall. Everything from ocean-sprayed Chardonnays to comforting Cabernet Sauvignons, and all the grapes in between, will be under one roof. Since everything’s available for purchase at cellar door prices, you might find yourself going home with barrels of the good stuff. Besides the finest vino, guests can sample 30 craft beers and ciders from six different local brewers, as well as taste the most innovative gins from micro-distillers right here in the Cape!
As fine wine must go with decadent food, the region’s talented chefs and restaurants will be on hand to make sure your stomach is well-lined with delicious delights. Expect to get your fill of local delicacies and gourmet grub at the multiple food stalls, food trucks and restaurants featured at the festival. Upbeat tunes and funky live music performances will jazz up the atmosphere too, so bring your best dancing shoes along.
The festival organisers have also arranged for a local transfer service in luxury minibuses to transport visitors to and from the festival all weekend long so that no-one has to drink and drive.
