Can Negative Emotions Enhance Memory
I touched on this briefly in an earlier post, but yes - it does seem as though negative emotions can help improve our memory accuracy.
Releasing the hurt, anger, and negative emotions from the past can seem impossible when we feel stuck. If we focus on the idea of giving to someone that needs our help, our minds can start to point back towards the present and on how to move forward.
Helping others rarely fails to transform. It gives us purpose and widens our perspective. It provides us with an opportunity to move beyond ourselves and into the reality of another person. Doing so can help us to finally let go of the hurts of the past.
Serving something bigger than ourselves can be the key to unlocking our greatness and way of truly living.
