Mary Ovenstone was born in West Hollywood, California. She moved to South Africa in the early 1970s and established herself in Cape Town.
After returning to the States and Canada for a ten-year stint, Mary studied and trained extensively in psychotherapy. She achieved this alongside an outstanding executive career in corporate communications and television production.
In 1999 Mary relocated back to sunny South Africa and opened her first business Brain Exchange Solutions. Her expertise resulted in her being on the coaching panel for Investec Bank and Asset Management, Old Mutual, and The City of Cape Town. The Office of the Premier of the Western Cape, Western Cape Department of Mobility, Western Cape Department of Infrastructure and Gauteng Provincial Legislature are just a few of her most notable clients.
Mary Ovenstone & Associates @ Brain Exchange Solutions was established when Mary settled in Hermanus and covers life coaching services for couples, individuals, retirees, corporates and teams.
Public speaking is her passion and Mary hosts talks and workshops for group, corporate and government audiences. She has been a guest on radio and TV shows and is frequently quoted and published in popular and business media.
In her spare time, Mary is still pushing the boundaries of relationship studies and is writing a book on female leadership in the 21st-century workplace based on neuroscience.
