What is Health Coaching?

Health Coaches are trained in habit formation, behaviour change and communication skills that allow them to help people overcome obstacles in order to achieve their goals. My training as a Functional Medicine Health Coach as well as a Physiotherapist means that I have knowledge surrounding various health conditions, diets and treatment protocols. We work as individuals and in collaboration with other health care professionals to help you achieve your personalised goals. 

When Would I See a Health Coach?
  • You have been diagnosed with a chronic medical condition, and need some assistance in adapting your lifestyle or sticking to your protocol or treatment plan
  • You have health related goals such as losing weight, exercising more, decreasing stress or improving sleep and are looking for support in making these changes 
  • You are looking to lead a healthier lifestyle, but are overwhelmed by all the conflicting health messages out there and are looking for some direction 
  • You are not living a life where you feel in control, energetic, healthy and happy and are looking to explore what makes you thrive 
My Approach

I see optimal wellness as a journey in which we need to address all aspects of our life including nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and social connection. All of our body systems are connected, and when we do not look after each of the systems or have an imbalance, things start to go wrong. This is when we tend to experience symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, decreased immunity, chronic pain or we develop a chronic condition. Life is busy and stressful, and often we require support in order to achieve this balance. I am here to provide that support to help you feel energetic, balanced and well.

How Does it Work?
  • Book a free 20 minute online session - in this session, I will explain what health coaching is and how it works, and you have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. This is also a chemistry session to see if I am the right person to help support you on your wellness journey.
  • If Health Coaching is the right fit for you, then we will schedule a 60 minute online session where we explore what your personal vision of optimal wellbeing is, and establish the long term goals that we will work towards.
  • Further sessions will be 30-45 minutes based on your availability, and will be scheduled either once a week, or once every two weeks.
