Residents of Overstrand Municipality may receive SMS messages from the service provider Ultimate Traffic Solutions (UTS) regarding unpaid traffic fines, such as:
“OVERSTRAND TRAFFIC: Hi [name], your First Notice for fine 9000000000 is ready. Quick view & pay at https://www.finesonline.co.za/; UTS”
While some residents may think these messages are scams, the SMS alerts are legitimate.
Always remain cautious, but the safest and fastest way to verify and pay fines is via the Overstrand Municipality website:
* Go to www.overstrand.gov.za
* Click on Pay & Purchase
* Scroll down to View and Pay Traffic Fines (You will need your ID number to access your fines)

Residents are urged to use these official channels to safely verify and manage traffic fines.
