NOTICE: Citizen App Available Again Following...
The Overstrand Municipality Collab Citizen App upgrade has been completed successfully and the App is now available again for use.
The Overstrand Law Enforcement Task Team confiscated an illegal gill net at Maanskynbaai last weekend while doing patrols along the Klein River.
Netting for fish is prohibited on the river.
The public should be aware that one is only authorised to fish in the Klein River if in possession of an angling licence.
Further, there are strict rules with regard to the speed limits at which watercraft may operate on the river. No crafts will be allowed access to the river unless proof of a valid skipper’s licence can be provided.
For details on the precautions and rules applicable to river usage over the upcoming season, please visit the Overstrand website www.overstrand.gov.za, click on Documents/By-laws/Estuaries
