Johann is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a BProc degree. He joined Standard Merchant Bank as a dealmaker and helped build the first true Asset Multi-Manager, which was later sold into the FirstRand group.
After being involved in the development of several residential estates, Johann saw the need for a professional approach to real estate in the Overberg and RE/MAX Town and Country was established. Johann loves empowering motivated agents to service clients ever more professionally and efficiently.
When he is not working, Johann enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Barbara has a strong background in marketing and advertising and spent many years doing residential property renovations and interior designing.
In 2014 she joined the real estate group that would go on to become RE/MAX Town and Country, as a developer, and immediately spotted the opportunity for a RE/MAX franchise in Hermanus. Barbara is a regular member of RE/MAX Premier and the Chairman’s Club and has closed deals of R10-million, with ease.
When she is not filling her invaluable role in the company as a mentor and deal-creator, Barbara enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Lydia studied Cost Engineering and is a member of the American and African Cost Engineering Associations. After 12 years of handling multi-million Rand projects, she relocated to Hermanus for a less corporate-structured life.
Lydia spent over 15 years assisting her husband in his real estate business and developed a passion for the property market, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge of the business over the years. She prides herself on her integrity and believes building a business on trust will lead to success.
Lydia’s hobbies and interests include animals, the outdoors, travelling, working in her garden and cake decorating.
Derik graduated from Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch and went on to obtain a BSc degree from Stellenbosch University. He then pursued a career in Management Training and Leadership Development abroad, working for top companies such as Sun International, Nedbank, Absa, FNB, Engen, Boeing and UNISA.
Eventually settling in Hermanus, Derik joined the property industry in 2015 and hasn’t looked back. This self-proclaimed “Luckiest Estate Agent” loves what he does, which is finding clients a sound investment.
Derik is an adrenaline junkie who loves extreme sports and is a veteran of four Comrades Marathons. When he’s not selling property or working with the “Play to Win” development program, Derick enjoys spending time at the beach.
Erik has followed in his father Derik Mocke’s footsteps by joining the RE/MAX Town and Country team, as an estate agent.
Being a long-standing Hermanus resident, Erik is actively involved in his community and strives to market the popular seaside town to the very best of his ability. Having travelled the world extensively, he enjoys using his personal experiences to network and build new relationships.
When Erik is not selling houses, you can find him being active on the beach and in nature.
Werner completed his BCom Honours degree in International Business Management and Marketing. He began working as an Advertising Executive at one of the top agencies in Cape Town and then went on to continue his advertising career in the United Kingdom as an Account Director. Global brands he dealt with included Coca Cola, Hyundai, BMW/Mini, Hewlett Packard and Guinness Premier Rugby. After returning to South Africa in 2010 he completed a Master’s degree in Theology at Stellenbosch University and was a pastor for five years in two churches.
Werner loves the property industry and has been buying and selling property from an early age. The 10 years he spent in advertising and marketing has given him a solid foundation for understanding customer needs. His goal is to provide buyers and sellers with excellent service while helping them get one step closer to reaching their property dreams.
In his spare time, Werner enjoys golf, tennis, hiking, reading, playing the guitar and travelling.
Yvonne has a degree and several diplomas in sales and marketing, coupled with over 30 years experience in the field.
The constant changes in the property market are what keeps her interested in real estate and her particular circle of influence involves almost every type of buyer and seller. Yvonne’s efficiency, consistency, persistence and enjoyment of building a good foundation as a reputable and trusted agent are her most important attributes as an agent.
Yvonne is a keen golfer and enjoys the outdoors which is an asset in her preferred arena of selling property in primarily private luxury estates.
Suretha obtained her Master’s degree in Music at Stellenbosch University, specialising in voice training. She has pioneered successful musical productions at various institutions in the Western Cape.
A love for the real estate market was developed while buying, renovating and selling her own properties. After relocating to De Kelders, she embarked on a new chapter in her life as a Sales Associate with RE/MAX Town and Country. She is well-known for going the extra mile and establishing excellent, lasting client relationships.
Suretha lists snorkelling, running, caring for animals, studying the night sky and going on long hikes as her hobbies.
Judi obtained her BCom degree in Accountancy at the University of Pretoria. After finishing her degree she went on to spend several years in the corporate world, travelling the globe and eventually becoming Head of East African Operations for the massive Monsanto group. After ending her corporate career she spent time focusing on her branding and promotional business.
A recent full-time migration into the property industry has filled her with the enthusiasm to develop the market, matching buyers and sellers while applying her motto that every house has a special owner.
Living in the tranquil coastal village of Pearly Beach makes it possible for Judi to spend time pursuing her favourite activities which are walking and cycling on the beach, or in the surrounding Fynbos fields. Gardening and having fun with family, friends and her pets, take up the remainder of her free time.
Bruce holds a B.Com degree which he obtained at the University of Pretoria. Added to this is an SMP, EDP and Dip IR, all of which he obtained at Stellenbosch University.
He has a professional background in Senior Management and has held executive positions for over 30 years. The last 20 years were with Adcorp Holdings Ltd, the largest human resource services company in South Africa. He held several directorships in Adcorp including Adcorp Industrial, a company responsible for 65,000 temporary employment contracts with RSA’s biggest companies.
Bruce is responsible for RE/MAX Town and Country's rental division and prides himself on his honest and fair transactions. He finds high-end holiday property rental exciting as it needs an understanding of the two parties involved, what their unique needs are and finding suitable solutions for them.
In his spare time, Bruce pursues his interests in woodwork and outdoor activities.
Mari is originally from Gauteng and started her career in Further Education and Training (FET) in 1998 as a lecturer in Business Studies subjects. In 1999 she joined the real estate industry, and worked as a receptionist at a very successful commercial industrial estate agency. In July of 2002, she moved to Hermanus, where she worked at a FET-College, lecturing mostly Computer Studies and then later on Business Studies (N1-N4). At the end of 2006 she bought out of the college she was employed at and established a FET-College which she ran successfully until 2010.
In 2011 Mari started her journey as a real estate office administrator. She joined RE/MAX Town and Country in 2015 as an estate agent after which she became the sales administrative assistant in 2016.
In her spare time Mari enjoys spending time at the beach and discovering new restaurants in the greater Hermanus area.
Wendy hails from Durban and has a background in Engineering, Drafting and Design. After relocating to Hermanus, she found her niche as an office administrator with RE/MAX Town and Country.
Wendy is an ambitious environmentalist and a qualified yoga teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and spending as much time as possible with her family which includes, Dany-dog!
