Rossi’s Italian Restaurant was established in 1985 and prides itself in the title of being the longest running restaurant in Hermanus.
Bruce Geddes took ownership in 2014 and continues with the Rossi family tradition that has made it a firm favourite with locals and with visitors to the town.
Together with his friendly team (some who have been with Rossi’s for over 20 years), Bruce invites you to join them for a memorable dining experience.
Most of the menu items are made using the same delicious family recipes that were used when the first meals were prepared in Rossi’s kitchen over thirty years ago.
Although specialising in wood-fired pizza using imported ‘doppio zero’ flour, the menu also features a wide selection of pasta dishes served with home-made Italian-style sauces. A gluten-free pizza base is also available for those who are wheat-intolerant.
Italy meets South Africa in the extensive menu that has something for all tastes. Treat yourself to linefish baked in the wood-burning pizza oven, melt-in-the-mouth calamari (grilled to perfection), flavourful slow-roast lamb shanks, juicy grade-A steaks and succulent spare ribs. A kiddies menu is available for the little ones and offers all those favourite ‘mini-me-meals’.
Traditional Italian desserts include Crème Brule, Chocolate Volcano and Tiramisu and are the perfect way to round off your Rossi’s experience.

Rossi’s Italian Restaurant is fully licensed and stocks a wide selection of all your favourite adult beverages. Local craft beers and handcrafted gin are popular and definitely worth sampling.
Rossi’s support local wine estates so the focus is on quality South African wines which include a selection of Italian-style vino. You are welcome to bring your own taste to the table for a corkage fee of R30 per bottle.
