Star Search Overstrand

About

Star Search Overstrand allows local talent to showcase their skills, boosting their confidence and encouraging the pursuit of artistic careers.

Besides empowering local musicians, singers, dancers and other talented performers, the event and its contestants aim to inspire others to follow their dreams!

The format is a simplified version of America’s Got Talent, and top performers will receive mentorship and performance opportunities!

Auditions

Star Search Overstrand will host auditions in the following towns:

• August 12 - Stanford
• August 19 - Gansbaai
• September 9 - Kleinmond
• September 16 - Hermanus

Judges

Two Overberg performers, DJ Dego and Jemaine Julies, will judge the auditions along with two local guest judges. 

Two artists and one dance act from each of the four towns will go to the finals.

Twelve finalists will compete in the finals of Star Search Overstrand at the Stanford Festival of Community Arts on October 7!
