“Friends invited us for breakfast and although we knew of the place it's not one a person goes to much, unless they know about it, as it's not close to the harbour/water. The food was excellent, the Chicken and Brie was brilliant, the service was good and it's the first time ever that I've been asked how strong would I like my coffee!! “After a couple of disappointing meals we were beginning to despair of getting a really good piece of fish in Kleinmond. Thankfully we needed a pretty venue for a lunch with friends and chose Bistro 14 because of their lovely secret-garden setting. What a great surprise! Prompt and friendly service, an honest and open proprietor who warned me that the way I wanted to have my fish prepared could be done BUT it would have a negative influence on the quality. I took her advice and won on all sides. Bistro 14 need to get themselves organised for the dinner crowd they have the potential to become the place to celebrate when in Kleinmond. “This is just one of those places that you can visit time and time again. Food is great, ambiance is fantastic. The food is presented in hand made pottery (by the owner) that is beautiful and it simply just works and elevates the entire experience. Stroll through the little nursery or the pottery gallery on the premises, the water feature creates tranquility in the courtyard that is well protected and pleasant on most days.
