It is extremely important to understand what 'emergency repairs' means. These regulatory provisions applies to all persons, and not only emergency services. That means all vehicles can be repaired, provided that such repairs are of an emergency nature.

In the absence of an official definition, we believe that emergency repairs means repairs to remedy any defect which puts the roadworthiness, safety or operational integrity of a vehicle or safety of the user/occupant at immediate risk, or which affects the structural integrity of the vehicle.
