From a young age Yvonne de Wit was encouraged by her father to be aware of her natural surroundings and from this awareness grew her love for fine art. Yvonne completed her academic art study in 1990. After moving from Holland to South Africa with her husband, Herman von Bon, in 2000, her journey to become the much sought after jewellery designer that she is today, began.
Yvonne’s first range is inspired by Mother Earth and is referred to by admirers as a pure-earth range of jewellery. Yvonne transforms her much-treasured collection of soils and stones into unique objets d'art, combining South African sterling silver, copper, brass and other metals.
A second range is her classic yet trendy retro and steampunk collection that is created from new metals that are at times combined with scrap materials.
Most of Yvonne's pieces of jewellery are unique and available in limited editions and include:
Herman von Bon is a much celebrated fine art photographer who has achieved international acclaim in the world of artistic photography.
Herman has a passion for abstract, surrealism and landscape photography that he manipulates by using many techniques to organically grow his works just as nature metamorphosizes. As in nature, there are seasons and the landscape or subject can change...especially when used as a canvas for exploration and experimentation.
Herman von Bon Photography can be viewed at Private Gallery Napier alongside his wife, Yvonne de Wit’s, signature jewellery collection.
