Well known Cape Town public relations consultant and journalist Brian Berkman successfully shed the heft which caused his Type 2 Diabetes and transformed himself from a sedentary heavyweight to someone who is fit and enjoys an active lifestyle.

He attributes his massive weight loss and success in keeping the bulk off, for more than five years, to the low-carbohydrate and high-fat diet commonly referred to as Banting or Keto which was brought to global attention by Prof Tim Noakes.

“These pop-ups, in our light-filled Pringle Bay home around our long table, will serve as the foundation for Low-Carb Sugar-Free Entertaining for the Lazy Cook, a recipe and how-to guide to low-carb entertaining. All Brian’s Banting Kitchen Pop-Ups dishes will be low-carb and effectively sugar-free. Numbers are limited to 12 guests per session.”

Summer menu for February 9, March 9 and April 27, 2019, Brian’s Kitchen Pop-Ups. R350 each. Although the menu will change in May, July and November with the seasons, there will always be a selection of meat and vegetarian items.
