The summer wedding season is almost here, and we’re busy adding a touch of floral magic to our cottages!
Stanford MTB Classic Event
Date: 29 February 2020 - 1 March 2020
Overberg MTB Events are inviting mountain bikers to gather for two days of sublime mountain bike riding at the Stanford MTB Classic over the weekend of the 29th February & 1st of March 2020.
This is an event where riders set their personal goals, making everyone a winner! For racing snakes in need of the challenge, STRAVA sections will be incorporated on the routes and prizes will be awarded to the overall winners of the Ladies’ and Men’s Categories.
The event is hosted by the historic Stanford Valley Guest Farm - the venue for the start and finish each day, relaxing afterwards with a burger and beer after good riding and in good company.
Stanford itself has a wonderful village atmosphere and the valley, known as the jewel of the Overberg, provides spectacularly scenic riding through fynbos and farmlands.
New trails are being introduced from Stanaford Valley, through to Beloftbos, Hermanus Pietersfontein, Hartbeeskloof while riders can also experience trails through wine farms including, Welgesind Winery, Sir Robert Stanford Estate, Stanford Hills, Goodwill Mountain Retreat, Whitewater Lodge and Bluegum Estate.
