The professionally designed MTB trails on the Beloftebos Farm, weave their way across rivers, through forests, along single dirt tracks, across gravel roads and up steep ascents. The seasoned mountain biker, trail runner and hiker can test themselves on more technical routes, whilst others can embark on a more leisurely journey along shorter Beloftebos Trails. Guided tractor tours along the Beloftebos Trails through the Floral Kingdom, take you to the very top of the Akkedisberg with its panoramic views of the Overberg’s rolling hills and the Hermanus Lagoon. For those who want to enjoy the country experience for more than a day, Beloftebos Trails can arrange accommodation and orientation to other exciting adventures and activities in the area.

If you love nature, adventures and fun then Beloftebos Trails and Adventures is where all great journeys begin.

Beloftebos is a working farm where the fifth, sixth and seventh generations De Villiers family live and farm with sheep, beef cattle and flowers. The family exports quality Fynbos and grows fresh produce in their organic vegetable garden.

Beloftebos Trails

The Beloftebos Trails were built by Andries de Villiers (who has completed races such as the Cape Epic and Freedom Challenge), Dirk de Vynck and the Cape Trails team (the guys responsible for building the Wines to Whales trails).

The various trails were designed to suit bikers and hikers of all fitness levels and there are loops that wind their way along the Paardenberg River and up the surrounding mountains.

Beloftebos Tractor Trips

Experience the sights, sounds and smells of the Cape Floral Kingdom from the back of a wagon pulled by the sturdy Beloftebos Trails and Adventures farm tractor.

Your Beloftebos Tractor Trip is a journey that winds its way through fields of Fynbos leading to the Akkedisberg lookout point where you will be treated to panoramic views of the Overberg’s rolling hills and the Hermanus Lagoon. Your experienced guides will tell you all there is to know about the area’s fauna and flora. The trip includes permission to pick a fresh bunch of indigenous Fynbos to take home.
