An eclectic mix of traditional stone cottages and contemporary-line boathouses. In keeping with Stanford's country charm, the design does nothing to detract from the natural environment, and the new Boathouses, in particular, make the most of the magnificent views across the lagoon to the imposing Maanschynkop mountains.
Coot Club sleeps up to 40 guests in total, with 14 guests in the new Boathouses, spaced along the lagoon shoreline, and 26 in the stone cottages tucked into the milkwoods.
Coot Club Is the perfect fun getaway destination for everyone in your family to have some fun. With activities ranging from quad-biking through stunning fynbos to kayaking in the Stanford Lagoon, we have an incredible range of things to do, both on land and water.

Clubhouse & Bar
We offer complete flexibility with the Clubhouse, located in the historic Spookhuis, and al fresco dining under the spreading branches of the 400-year-old milkwoods. Enjoy breakfast from 8 to 11 am. From 11 am the Clubhouse offers an a la carte lunch menu of light eats. We keep it simple but authentic in the relaxed spirit of Coot Club.

Every cottage has an outdoor BBQ for you to enjoy that most traditional of South African past times, and we can have your meat pack waiting in your fridge, with or without accompanying salads.
