The Learning Tree After School Centre in Stanford is buzzing with creativity!
This month, the kids have been crafting, playing movement games and diving into storytelling to spark their imagination and develop new skills.
Huge thanks to our amazing team and Rotary Stanford for their ongoing support, including daily fruit and sandwiches for the kids and - a rainwater tank for better water management!

Arts & Culture Event - A Night with Siphokazi Jonas
On April 26, 2025, poet Siphokazi Jonas performed her beautiful poetry and storytelling from her award-winning debut, Weeping Becomes a River.
Sixteen local youth artists were given the opportunity to attend the event and be inspired by her work.
Thank you BETRAG, NSM ART, Rockpool Media, Fynarts and Grootbos Foundation, for making this event happen and giving the young artists the opportunity to be part of it.
Nolundi’s Journey at Bridges for Music Academy
We’re incredibly proud of Nolundi, our STAR Search finalist who was awarded a scholarship to the Bridges for Music academy in Cape Town.
She’s diving into music production, yoga, and meditation, and recently performed at the Baxter Theatre in the Western Cape's Department of Culture, Art and Sports (DCAS) Drama Festival.

We are excited to see where this opportunity leads her and, as a trailblazer, how it will inspire many more young people from the Overstrand through our arts and cultural programs.
While Nolundi's tuition is covered, we need your help to support her living expenses so she can continue this journey without financial worry.
Every contribution ensures Nolundi can stay near the Academy, fully immerse herself in her studies and reach her full potential.
