An Update from Creative Skills Factory

Dear Friends,

Spring is here! and bringing with it - a season of growth, creativity and celebrations for our NPO.

As our village bursts into life with the vibrant Fynbos flowers and the "Chelsea Flowers in Stanford” (a recreation of South Africa's internationally acclaimed floral display at the London RHS Chelsea Flower Show) during the “Stanford in Bloom" spring festival, we are especially excited to share a big highlight coming up for our Die Kop Recorder Youth Group.

Our talented young musicians will be taking part in a special collaboration with the Winelands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Manuel Jardine Arts Foundation at the “Grand Garden Gala” at the Stanford in Bloom Spring Festival on the 13th of September.

This is an incredible opportunity for our students to perform alongside professional musicians, to showcase their talent and be inspired by the magic and power of music. Click here for more on the Grand Garden Gala.

We’re also thrilled to continue our partnership with WOMAD South Africa.

After hosting the Kidz 4 Culture Day with WOMAD in Hermanus earlier this year, the Zwelihle Youth Choir has grown stronger than ever.

These gifted young voices will soon take the stage on international platforms right here at home.

Click here to read more on these young voices in the news.

The Zwelihle Youth Choir will be performing at the WOMAD South Africa’s event at the V & A Waterfront stage in Cape Town on the 24th of September, and again with WOMAD artists at the Stanford concert on the 5th of October from 2pm to 6pm at Landskein Wine Farm.

Thanks to the generous support of the Grootbos Foundation, transport for the choir has been covered.

Now, we’re looking for a sponsor to help provide printed choir t-shirts so the group can SHINE with PRIDE as they perform.
